Richmond Restaurants Open On Mondays

by Discover Richmond Tours

53 Richmond Restaurants Open On Mondays

Mondays are hard. And with lots of restaurants in Richmond closed on Monday, it can be difficult to find something delicious to make you forget what day it is. We don’t want Sunday Scaries to be a thing anymore, so here’s a list of 53 Richmond restaurants open on Mondays!*

This list is organized by hours open: all day, breakfast, lunch only, lunch and dinner, dinner only, and late night. We’ve also expanded on restaurants featured on our weekend food tours.

As you know, the restaurant scene is forever changing, so we’ll update it often, but we do acknowledge the possibility of something being listed incorrectly here. Just let us know!

*Please note this is not a comprehensive list of all open restaurants; there are plenty more open on Mondays!

Richmond Restaurants Open All Day Monday

Buna Kurs Ethiopian Cafe: 7 AM-5 PM (402 1/2 N 2nd St)

Located in the heart of Jackson Ward, Buna Kurs Ethiopian Cafe is exactly what you need at any time of the day. Serving up Ethiopian coffee, breakfast, and lunch, you can also join a traditional coffee ceremony on the weekends and watch as beans are washed and roasted in front of the group of friends and neighbors. It’s the perfect Monday experience!

Liberty Public House: 11:30 AM-9 PM (418 N 25th St)

If you’re looking for the neighborhood spot with a menu to satisfy everyone in your party, Liberty Public House is the place to go for Monday lunch. Located in an old movie theater in Church Hill, the ambience is very chill, and the food is incredible. We’re obsessed with the RVA Hot Chicken Sandwich, and the fries are some of the best in the city!

Lillie Pearl: 11 AM-2:30 PM, 4:30-10 PM (416 E Grace St)

Lillie Pearl is your Monday spot if you’re looking for something a little upscale, with that classic southern charm you know your boss loves! Block off a bit more time for this lunch, as you’ll definitely want to have time to sip an incredible cocktail (or mocktail… it is Monday, we guess) alongside your braised beef egg roll (OMG). Located right in the heart of downtown, making it the perfect lunch spot!

Lucky AF: 11:30 AM-2:30 PM, 5-10PM (3103 W Leigh St)

When you want a fun vibe, you know… the we’ll-pretend-it’s-not-actually-Monday vibe… then Lucky AF in Scott’s Addition should be your next Monday lunch spot! Incredible sushi (and non-sushi) dishes, plus an impeccably decorated dining room to cure those Monday blues. Did we mention the sakes are delicious?

Mama J’s: 11 AM-9 PM (415 N 1st St)

Jackson Ward’s very own Mama J’s put Richmond on the food map, which means the lines are long to get a seat here. That’s one of the many reasons we love recommending Mama J’s for lunch – it’ll be a shorter wait for the incredible fried catfish and macaroni and cheese RVA has come to know and love! It’s the perfect spot to cure the weekend hangover.

Nokoribi: 11 AM-9 PM (1509 Belleville St)

Located inside The Veil Brewing in Scott’s Addition, Nokoribi offers incredible lunch options that pair well with a beer, or stand strong all by itself. The salmon crudo and avocado is the perfect Monday lunch to get you fueled for the week – it’s almost healthy enough to make up for the weekend!

SMoHK: 11 AM-7 PM (3112 W Leigh St)

The perfect time for BBQ is always. And SMoHK in Scott’s Addition always has what we need when it comes to a filling and delicious BBQ lunch platter! We recommend the brisket sandwich, and make sure you try the many housemade sauces available to you – we can’t get enough of the Smoky Apple BBQ!

Rappahannock Restaurant: 4-10 PM (320 E Grace St)

Oysters are such a treat, that we worry you might think of them only as a weekend food. As such, we think they’re even more perfect for a Monday evening! Plus, at Rappahannock, you’re getting the best of the best, and they’re harvested from right here in Virginia. Dinner at this cute downtown spot is the perfect Monday evening activity.

We love Home Sweet Home in Carytown because you can choose from a list of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, or you can simply build your own. Everything here is homemade, too, so don’t sleep on that pulled BBQ pork!
