10 Of The Best Restaurants In Scott’s Addition
Scott’s Addition has become one of Richmond’s trendiest neighborhoods, with several games and entertainment options, dozens of drinking establishments (including breweries, cideries, and distilleries), and most importantly, some of RVA’s most beloved restaurants. From industrial, to residential, to a bit of both, Scott’s Addition is a must-visit for any local Richmonder or tourist alike. To get you started, here’s our list of the best restaurants in Scott’s Addition!
Cochiloco
Scott’s Addition has welcomed Cochiloco into its lineup of incredible eateries. This authentic Mexican restaurant checks all the boxes – incredible food, spot-on aesthetics, and incredible drinks to keep everyone happy! Brought to you by the same owners as Y Tu Mamá, Cochiloco will have you coming back to try something new every time, though nobody would begrudge you if you just got the Quesabirria Tacos every. single. time.
Eazzy Burger
Eazzy Burger, is brought to you by the owners of ZZQ (so, yes, go right now). All burgers are a 5oz dry-aged Roseda Farm black angus blend of brisket, chuck and short rib, served on a buttered and toasted brioche bun. Eazzy Burger also offers gluten free and non-red meat options, hotdogs (but ones you’ll actually want to eat), as well as the must-try Cheazzy Fries (hand-cut russet potatoes, smoked cheddar cheese, bacon, pickled jalapeños, scallions, and fried pickle ranch).
Lucky AF
Lucky AF (Lucky Asian Fusion – get your mind out of the gutter!) is the sushi restaurant Scott’s Addition has long-needed. It offers a fresh and fun take on modern sushi – you’ll find all the classics here, but Lucky AF really shines with its house rolls. Two of our favorites include the Lucky AF Roll (tempura shrimp topped with spicy lump crab and avocado, and finished with sweet soy and crunch) and the Amirah Roll (spicy yellowtail, cilantro, jalapeño, and crunch with wild salmon, avocado, tobiko & eel sauce). Plus, they’ve got a killer drink menu and a great outdoor space!
Smohk
Scott’s Addition’s Smohk RVA BBQ was brought to life by two old friends, Roby and Elizabeth, who thought it would be fun to take their cooking skills to the masses. Consistently ranked one of the best BBQ spots in Richmond, Smohk follows through on that quality by sourcing only the freshest ingredients from as many local providers as possible. In fact, they proudly serve Compart Duroc Pork and all-natural locally sourced Virginia brisket!
ZZQ
Unless you’ve been avoiding the news cycle intentionally, you’ll have at least heard about nationally-renowned ZZQ, Richmond’s very own Texas craft BBQ joint in the heart of Scott’s Addition. ZZQ’s mission is to create an authentic BBQ experience blending the culture, techniques, and flavors of Central Texas with the regional influences of Central Virginia. Don’t take our word for it, though. Food & Wine named ZZQ the best BBQ in Virginia; Thrillist called it one of the top 57 BBQ joints in the U.S.; and Guy Fieri visited ZZQ on his Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

Brenner Pass
If you love everything Swiss, then Brenner Pass is the place for you. Named after the famous road that winds its way through the Alps, Brenner Pass is a must-visit when in Scott’s Addition. Brought to you by the same folks behind Metzger Bar & Butchery, Brenner Pass is a bright and bustling European spot, offering the best of the Alps. You HAVE to try the Fondue (Gruyère and Emmentaler, sourdough, fingerlings potatoes, speck, veggies, and cornichons).
LUNCH.SUPPER!
LUNCH.SUPPER! is one of Scott’s Addition’s first eateries, and is consistently a Richmond favorite. Since 2012, LUNCH.SUPPER! has been curing, brining, and smoking all their foods in house, making it a go-to for those seeking classic comfort meals. Plus, the Urban Roost is an awesome space adjacent to the restaurant for folks to grab delicious cocktails and enjoy the outdoors.
Moore Street Cafe
If you’re looking for the best pancakes in Richmond, you can’t miss Moore Street Cafe. This classic RVA diner may be tiny, but it packs a huge punch – grab stacks of pancakes, pitchers of Moore Mosas (those are 32 oz. pitchers of flavored Mimosas, of course), or our personal favorite, the Squirrel’s Nest Breakfast Bowl. Be prepared to wait to grab a seat – it’s an RVA favorite!
Peter Chang
Soup. Dumplings. That’s really all that needs to be said about this Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant on the edge of Scott’s Addition. But truly, you won’t find a single dish on the menu at Peter Chang that isn’t loved by everyone in Richmond. Don’t believe us? In 2018, Peter Chang won an Elby (think Richmond’s James Beard) for the best global-dining Experience.
Pinky’s
The people have spoken, and in 2022, Pinky’s in Scott’s Addition was named Richmond’s Best New Restaurant in Richmond Magazine. After feasting on some rich and flavorful Mediterranean dishes, we understand why. Named after the owner’s mother (Karen “Pinky” DeRaffele), several of the dishes on Pinky’s menu are those that Scott DeRaffele remembers eating as a child (the Classic Meatballs among them). A bonus? The menu is nearly 100% gluten free!
